It's been two years since we had a volume from Nagata Kabi but the wait is worth it. Once again, she provides an intense autobiographical volume, this time dealing with what happens when she was hospitalized with pancreatitis and liver trouble when her drinking got out of control. She spent over two weeks there and learned she would have to strongly modify her eating and drinking habits. There is also the tale of trying to work on various projects and fighting writer's block and publishing issues. Nagata Kabi's work is not easy reading but it is a great portrait of what it is like to go through turmoil in one's life. Fans of her previous books will not be disappointed. The loneliness she’s had to deal with. The insomnia, the extreme anxieties, her parents, finding Ms Right, depression, and many other hang-ups.
